A few months ago we wrote a blog article, ‘How The Chao Pinhole Technique Painlessly Solves Gum Recession’. It describes a new procedure that treats gum recession quicker than traditional techniques. It seems that our efforts to strive to be at the cutting edge of all new dental treatments has succeeded. We were the first dentists using the Chao Pinhole Technique to be featured in a major newspaper dicussing the technique.

Chao Pinhole Technique (1st September 2015) an article has been published discussing one of our patient’s, Colin Errington, experience of the Chao Pinhole Technique.

Chao Pinhole Technique

In the article a number of experts, including our own Dr Sihra, explained how the procedure works and how it is beneficial to patients. The Chao Pinhole Technique has only been used in the UK for the past two years. We have been developing our own expertise during this time. Making us one of the most experienced dental surgeries providing this treatment. As with all treatments not everyone’s gums will be suitable for treatment but a consultation with your dentist is recommended. They will assess the quality of your gums and will confirm your suitability.

Suitability

If your dentist has ascertained that you are a suitable candidate for treatment. This technique will help you experience a less pain and inconvenience than if the traditional technique was used. For a start you would be able to have a larger section of teeth treated. You won’t need to have grafts removed from another part of your mouth, you wouldn’t need stitches and your recovery time is almost instant. After, you will be given instructions on how to clean your teeth in such a way that you don’t undo the end result.

There are many reasons why our gums recede but adopting a careful oral hygiene routine will ensure that, if your gums need treating, you will be able to have the surgery because your mouth is otherwise healthy.
