The cost of Invisalign and any dental treatment can be a stumbling block at times for clients. While this can be a factor there are some fantastic ways particularly through Simply Teeth to bring costs down.
Here at Simply Teeth we put together a bespoke treatment care pathway for clients.
What is Invisalign?
Invisalign is a discreet alternative to metal braces. As a clear retainer it allows you a noninvasive alternative to traditional meal fitted braces. Advancements that is evident in the dentistry field over the last 10 years have allowed for the creation of Invisalign.
Known as Aligners, they are placed in the base and roof of the mouth covering the teeth and gums. The aim of the device is to align and straighten your teeth to create a perfect smile. While they are not always best suited to every client in appropriate cases they have fantastic results.
How does the treatment work?
Treatment follows a standardised process. Firstly, you will attend an initial consultation and opportunity for you and your dentist to discuss Invisalign costs and the most appropriate care pathway for yourself.
After the consultation meeting, a bespoke treatment plan will be created and presented to you. It is important to be aware that not all teeth will be moved at the same time, treatment time normally lasts a year and extra time is accommodated for Invisalign refinements. Your dentist will take moulds and request you to return for a fitting.
After your Invisalign Aligners are made your next dental session will be the fitting. Unlike traditional braces, these sessions can last as little as 15 minutes, aligners only need clicking in. Your dentist will then take the time to explain best practice for maintenance and care, read our top ten tips for Invisalign tips for more information, after which your next appointment won’t be for six weeks.
During this six week period you will receive a fresh set of aligners every fortnight, each will differ slightly creating straighter teeth every time. Initially you may experience minor soreness and pain this is expected, your mouth is not yet used to a retainer it needs to bed in. Over time, this pain will subside and eventually become non-existant.
After the treatment plan is complete you will need a retainer to wear at night. Teeth can slowly revert to their old positions; by wearing a retainer it will stop any movement from happening.
How much does Invisalign cost?
The cost of Invisalign treatment can differ depending on which clinic you go to. However, going for the cheapest possible is not necessarily the best.
Teeth are complicated and you should always do research before approaching any clinic, most importantly they should be an Invisalign licensed premises. Clients have described to us treatments they have undergone that have left them unsatisfied and in the worst cases needing extra work to fix dental problems they have been left with. While this is all very much worst-case scenario it does highlight the importance of research.
Search for a clinic to make sure they are licensed first on the Invisalign website. You will find us and many other available UK clinics there.
Here at Simply Teeth we work hard to make sure our client is satisfied and happy with their treatment plan before we start the process. All of our treatment costs we explain upfront and are confident that while we aren’t the cheapest on the market we do have some of the best results.
One row of Invisalign through Simply Teeth can cost as little as £1500 for treatment. A “Six Month Smile Plan” for the upper and lower arch can start from £2000. A full list of prices and payment plans can be seen on our website.
When deciding whether Invisalign is the right method of treatment for yourself it is important to consult your dentist. In some cases, your teeth and mouth will not make it possible to receive Invisalign treatment. Teeth at the best of times are a problematic task to deal with and your dentist will know how to get the best results.
